![]() ![]() ![]() The Prawn Suit can generate energy from heat using the Thermal Reactor upgrade (any source above 30☌). High temperatures can be used to generate energy for Seabases through the Thermal Plant because these are external generators that have to be placed at specific locations to work (any source above 25☌, which can be found in the HUD of the Prawn Suit or Seatruck, and on the Thermal Plant), the Seabase needs to be close, or otherwise connected via Power Transmitters. The Reinforced Dive Suit will allow the player to resist damage from sources up to 70☌. However, some things, such as Thermal Lilies and Fumaroles will still burn the player. Heat is not as big of a mechanic as it is in Subnautica, as the player does not take damage from simply being in hot water. I knew it was smaller than in the base game but when I found out how small the map actually is I was a bit underwhelmed. The Cold Suit exists to protect the player from low temperatures, and the PDA will warn the player about cold weather and hypothermia (extremely low heat in the body) Heat 2 Subnautica Mapsize compared to SN: Below Zero true to scale Since the release of Below Zero is getting closer (its a Christmas miracle) I decided to do some research how big the map is compared to the original. Thermal Lilies, Steam Vents and hot springs can be found on the surface to provide warmth to the player. ![]() Certain consumables boost the player's warmth, such as the Spicy Fruit Salad, Fevered Pepper and the Thermos. ![]()
